Prince's best-known and most enduring work is the soundtrack to the original Doom. The Doom soundtrack grew extremely popular among gamers, with fans doing various cover versions and remix projects more than 15 years after the game's release. It is one of the most popular soundtracks on the OverClocked ReMix website.[2]
Several tracks from the game are arrangements of various songs from popular Heavy Metal bands, such as Pantera and Alice in Chains. John Romero, a co-developer of Doom, claims that Bobby used his knowledge of copyright law when creating the music because he "knew the legal amount of sampling that he could do without getting into trouble."[3]
